EFS Pro Strength Average Bands
These bands are the same tension but different color! EFS Pro Average bands are silver, 1 ¾” width, 41” long, and 4.5mm thick. There are 15 layers of latex on each band.
The EFS Pro Average Bands are the second strongest band and will provide around 140 pounds of tension at the top of a squat and 200 on the bench press (depending on how they are attached).
Average Bands are also great for...
• Band Good Mornings
• Dynamic and Max Effort Squats
• Band Pushdowns
• Band Rows
• Running and Agility Drills
• Bench Presses
• Reverse Band Deadlifts
• Reverse Band Bench Presses
• Reverse Band Squats
• Plus much more
Band Tension
EFS measured band tension on the EFS Monolift and figured some people would like to know what we came up with. This may help you figure out what kind of tension that you have or give you an approximate idea of what you have.
1. Base of the Monolift is 4x4.
2. All bands were choked.
3. Bar was placed 52 inches from the ground.
4. Bands were on the sleeve of the barbell; one per side.
5. Bands were either brand new or used 2-3 times.
6. For every inch the bar went down, the tension decreased by about 10lbs. This only held true for the first 1/3 of the way down.
7. We found that choking the bands around a 3x3 base caused the tension to decrease 40lb; thus holding statement #6 true.
8. Total tension was for BOTH bands.
Band/Tension at the Top
• Strong band – 175lb
• Average band – 115lb
• Light band – 70lb
Band Testimonials
Thank you for introducing me to bands. I have been training for 10 years and have spent the last 3 trying to get over a vicious squat sticking point. I added bands into my squat training and my explosive strength went nuts. In less than one year I added 70 pounds to my squat. You guys rock!
